Toads is a municipality with 1916 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the Pinzgau, in the Austrian province of Salzburg ( the district of Zell am See).

Geography

Toads is located in the district of Zell am See (Pinzgau ) in Saalachtal, near the border crossing Steinpass ( Kleines Deutsches Eck ). Until the end of May 1923, the village belonged to the district court Lofer, since June 1, 1923 she is part of the judicial district of Saalfelden. Toads is located north of the market town of Lofer, from which it is separated by the knee through. The Saalachtal is here to the east, surrounded by the mountains and the rider stone Reiteralpe with the known peaks of the Three Brothers (1864 m). History
