Voyageurs-Nationalpark

The Voyageurs National Park is a national park in the USA. The park is located in northern Minnesota on the border with Canada. Its name commemorates the French-Canadian fur traders who had penetrated the first Europeans to the region.

The park was founded in 1975 and is with its numerous lakes and bays is a paradise for excursions by kayak or canoe. The Kabetogama Peninsula is ideal for hiking. In winter, cross-country skiing and snowmobile rides are popular. One of the many lakes is the Rainy Lake, which is only partially in the National Park and partly in Canada.

Among other things, living in Voyageurs National Park, the wolves and the endangered bald eagle.
