Weightlifting at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's 105 kg

The Men's Weightlifting in class to 105 kg ( heavyweight) at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held on 6 August 2012 at the Exhibition Centre London. It occurred in 17 athletes.

The competition consisted of two parts: Tear ( Snatch ) and put ( Clean and Jerk ). The participants were divided into two groups at first in the snatch, in which they had three attempts. Who did not have a valid attempt was eliminated. In pushing each starter had three attempts again. Won The athlete with the highest weight added together. In the event of a tie, the lower body weight tipped the scales.

The reigning world and European champions Chadschimurat Akkajew from Russia had to withdraw due to a back injury. His compatriot Dmitry Klokow said from medical reasons. Marcin Dołęga, former world record holder in the snatch, retired after three failed attempts in the snatch. The victories weight in a duel in this competition would not have sufficed in the past three Olympic competition for a medal. The silver medal for the Iranians Navab Nassirshalal was the first medal of Iran in this weight class.
