White Nile (state)
An- Nil al Abyad - (Arabic النيل الأبيض, German White Nile ) is a state in Sudan.
It has an area of 30,411 km ² according to the census of 2008, some 1.7 million inhabitants. Its capital is Rabak and other major cities are Kusti and ad - Duwaim.

An- Nil al Abyad - extending between the state capital Khartoum and the border with South Sudan from north to south along the White Nile, according to which the State is named.
History
From 1919 to 1976, the territory of today's state of Nile al - Abyad the province of Nile al - azraq, which included the territories of present-day states of al - Jazeera and Sennar next to today's state of Nile al - azraq belonged.
