Wolters Kluwer

Wolters Kluwer is a Dutch publishing company, which emerged from the merger of Kluwer Publishers and Wolters -Samson 1987. The company is based in Alphen aan den Rijn. They are quoted, among others, included in the AEX and Euronext 100 euros.

Wolters Kluwer has annual turnover of 3.4 billion euros and a profit (EBITA) of EUR 728 million in 2011. Worldwide, approximately 18,500 employees in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia are employed.

Areas

The area Wolters Kluwer Legal, Tax & Regulatory Europe is a provider of specialist information for law, finance / controlling, human resources management, public administration, health, safety and environment ( HSE) and transportation. It has operations in 18 countries and had 7,751 employees with 2006 annual revenues of EUR 1,342 million. Wolters Kluwer Germany in Cologne is part of this division, the Luchterhand has bought and now, among other things the magazine " Youth Services " out there.

72 percent of sales are now running with online products (eg databases), software and services.

The scientific Kluwer Academic Publishing merged in 2004 with the Springer Academic Publishing and no longer uses the brand Kluwer.

JURION

JURION (also: JURION right ) is a product line introduced in 2011 by the publisher. It was created by the purchase of the business of Legal and Regulatory of the LexisNexis Germany GmbH. The word mark " JURION " was but since the year 2000.

In JURION to specialized legal databases found with predominantly own content, which also include works by Carl Heymann publisher. This is in addition to JURION Juris and Beck -Online one of the largest providers electronically processed, specialist legal information.
