Wynn Las Vegas
The Wynn Las Vegas is a hotel and casino in Paradise, a suburb of Las Vegas in Nevada. Opened in 2005, this luxury hotel is named after the real estate mogul Steve Wynn, who financed the so far most expensive hotel construction.
Description
On 28 April 2005 his wife 's birthday, Steve Wynn opened his hitherto most expensive hotel in the world. With construction costs of approximately 2.7 billion U.S. dollars ( 2.1 billion euros ) joined the real estate tycoon into new dimensions. Supposedly been proved to be short-lived, and exceeded the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi with $ 3 billion construction cost of this superlative however. However surpassed The Cosmopolitan, also in Las Vegas the Emirates Palace with its construction cost of 4 billion dollars. Already at the turn of the century began the then financially ailing Wynn with the planning of the hotel and bought the renovation, but renowned Desert Inn Hotel in downtown Las Vegas. Just under three years, the construction of the Colossus took until the curved, the signature of the owner modeled Wynn letters emblazoned on the facade of the hotel in the spring of 2005.
With 2,716 rooms, the Wynn is significantly behind the biggest hotels in Las Vegas, the MGM ( 5,000 rooms ), the Bellagio ( 4,000 ) or the Luxor ( 4400 ). Bookings are units with 58 m2 to 650 m2 suites as well as Ferrari or Maserati from our own fleet of vehicles.
The Wynn Las Vegas is third highest, with its 50 floors the currently (August 2010 ) Hotel in Las Vegas. Exceeded, it is only from The Palazzo (196 meters) and its sister hotel, the Encore, namely by two floors. The property includes a 10,200 m2 casino, a 12,000 m2 large lake, 18 restaurants and bars, 26 shops on 7,000 m2, an art gallery and two wedding chapels. In addition, there is a 20,700 m2 large conference center. It is the only hotel in Las Vegas, which offers its guests a golf course with 18 holes within the complex available. For restaurants specifically chefs were hired.
Contrary to the trend of previous hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, the Wynn does not have any attractions that can be admired from the street to attract visitors. The main attraction is the "Lake of Dreams", an artificial lake, are projected onto the images.
In-house shows - theater productions
In the hotel there are several night clubs as well as an elaborate theatrical production, the special collection designed for the domestic water Revue Le Rêve. The latter was produced by the former director of Cirque du Soleil, Franco Dragone.
Le Rêve ( The Dream French ) is listed in a separate stage building with a large swimming pool where a mechanical underwater labyrinth is installed. Under the 35-meter high dome, the troupe performs acrobatics before before changing stage effects.
The second stage was recorded by the entertainer Danny Gans. He died unknown reasons, on 1 May 2009 at the age of 52 years. His other productions include " Avenue Q" and " Spamalot ".
Encore
In addition to the recent Wynn complex another hotel building Encore Suites at Wynn Las Vegas was built with an attached casino. It was opened in December 2008 and is similar to its sister hotel.
