Yes! Roadster

Young Engineers Sportscar, short YES!, Is an automobile manufacturer. Founder and managing partner of YES! Participation and ownership mbH is Marco Kunz. The entrepreneur was first YES! 3.2 turbo driver in Germany and acquired after insolvency of Funke & Will AG the Yes! Participation and ownership mbH based in Edermünde in the Schwalm -Eder-Kreis in Hesse.

History

The sports car YES! (! english for Yes ) originally arose from a thesis by Herbert Funke and Philipp Will, who studied automotive engineering at the Fachhochschule Köln. By design student Oliver Schweizer, the exterior design of the YES! created, was a marketable project. To get the necessary funds, the developers talked to forty companies in the automobile industry, of which a large part was willing to support.

At the International Motor Show 1999 in Frankfurt, Germany then was the first prototype of YES!, The model Clubsport presented. The vehicle concept shown was a very purist sports cars, without a roof, doors and usual comfort. Because of the low weight achieved by these measures with relatively high engine power, he was also referred to in press reports as a motorcycle on four wheels. Even at the IAA 1999 on 30 vehicles were pre-ordered.

After this exhibition, the company Funke & Will AG was founded in 2000 in Great grove. As of 2001, in a restored 30's hangar at the airfield Großenhain the models of YES! individually handcrafted for its owners and delivered. On February 4, 2009, Funke & Will AG filed for insolvency at the district court of Dresden. Participation and ownership company in Edermünde sold. It offers spare parts and customer service on sold vehicles and leads the production of the Model YES! 2 in small numbers continued. Description
