Burgos (Isabela)

Burgos (Filipino: Bayan ng Burgos) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Isabela, Administrative Region II, Cagayan Valley. It has 22 521 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 14 barangays. It is classified as the fourth income class municipality in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

Burgos is located in the western part of the province, at the foot of the mountain massif of the Cordillera Central, in the valley of the Magat Rivers. It is located 382 km north of Manila and is accessible via the Marhalika Highway. The nearest airport is in Cauayan City, this is sometimes served by the airline Cebu Pacific four a week. Your neighboring municipalities are Luna and Reina Mercedes in the south, Gamu in the East, Aurora, Roxas and San Manuel in the West, Quirino in the north.

The community was named after the Philippine national hero Jose Burgos.
