Ramon (Isabela)

Ramon (Filipino: Bayan ng Ramon) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Isabela, Administrative Region II, Cagayan Valley. It has 49 812 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 19 barangays. It is classified as a church of the first income class in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

Ramon is located in the southwest of the province, at the foot of the mountain massif of the Cordillera Central, in the valley of the Magat Rivers. In the north of the municipality is the Magat Dam, the hydroelectric plant has a power output of 381 megawatts. It is located 335 km north of Manila and is accessible via the Marhalika Highway. The nearest airport is in Cauayan City, this is sometimes served by the airline Cebu Pacific four a week.
