Tumauini, Isabela
Tumauini (Filipino: Bayan ng Tumauini ) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Isabela, Administrative Region II, Cagayan Valley. It has 58 463 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 46 barangays. It is classified as a church of the first income class in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.
Tumauini is located in the north of the province. It lies at the foot of the mountain massif of the Cordillera Central in the west, in the valley of the Cagayan River. It is located 428 km north of Manila and is accessible via the Marhalika Highway. Your neighboring municipalities are Santo Tomas in the northwest, Delfin Albano in the West, Ilagan City in the south, Divilacan in the east, Cabagan in the north.
Tumauini is mainly known by the church of San Mattias, this is since 2006 on the suggestion list for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
