Gamu, Isabela

Gamu (Filipino: Bayan ng Gamu ) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Isabela, Administrative Region II, Cagayan Valley. It has 28,657 inhabitants ( census of 1 May 2010 ) living in 16 barangays. It is classified as the fourth income class municipality in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

Gamu is located in the center of the province. It lies at the foot of the mountain massif of the Cordillera Central in the west and the Sierra Madre in the east, in the valley of the Cagayan River. It is located 395 km north of Manila and is accessible via the Marhalika Highway. The nearest airport is in Cauayan City, this is sometimes served by the airline Cebu Pacific four a week. Your neighboring municipalities are Reina Mercedes and Naguilian in the south, Ilagan City in the east, to the west of Burgos, Quirino in the north.

In Gamu are the St. Rose de Lima Church, St. Claire Monastery and the Shrine of Our Lady of the Visitation of Guibang.
