San Mariano (Isabela)
San Mariano (Filipino: Bayan ng San Mariano ) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Isabela, Administrative Region II, Cagayan Valley. It has 16,094 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 36 barangays. It is classified as a church of the first income class in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.
San Mariano is located in the southeast of the province, the community center is located in the valley of the Cagayan and Ilagan River flows through the town. The territory extends to the waters of the Philippine Sea. The municipality is located in the massif of the Sierra Madre. It is located 454 km north of Manila and is accessible via the Marhalika Highway, via Naguilian, accessible. Your neighboring municipalities are Ilagan City and Palanan in the north, Benito Soliven in the West, San Guillermo in the southwest and Dinapigue in the south.
San Mariano is partially in the Northern Sierra Madre Natural Park, this is since 2006 on the suggestion list for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
