Schaffhouse-près-Seltz

Schaff -près - Seltz ( German: Schaffhausen ) is a commune with 581 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. The inhabitants call themselves Schaffhousois. The next neighboring community is Seltz, two kilometers to the southeast. Between the two communities, the A 35 (L' Alsacienne ) to the connector 58 ( Schaffhausen ) runs. In the south and east of the village is surrounded by forest. On the eastern edge of Eberbach flows. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Communauté de communes de la Plaine de la Sauer et du Seltzbach.

History

The first time was mentioned in writing the place in 1576th During the Thirty Years' War, the village was so badly damaged that it had to be completely rebuilt again.
