Seltz

Seltz (English: Selz ) is a municipality with 3250 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in Alsace region of France. It belongs to the district of Wissembourg and is the capital ( chef-lieu ) of the canton of the same name.

Geography

The location is by the river Sauer near the Rhine. About 10 km east of Seltz, on the right side of the Rhine, is the German city of Rastatt. After Baden -Baden you drive 28 km, 41 km to Karlsruhe and Strasbourg in the south 51 km.

History
