14th Army (Wehrmacht)
The 14th Army / Army High Command 14 (AOK 14 ) was a major unit of the Army of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. She was supreme command each alternating Army Corps as well as many special forces.
Lineups
It was under Colonel General Wilhelm List ( from 1940 Field Marshal ) established on 1 August 1939 the commander of Army Group 5 in Vienna, used in the Polish campaign in the area of Army Group South and then moved to the West on 13 October 1939 and renamed the Army High Command 12.
On 18 November 1943, the 14th Army was reorganized itself under General Eberhard von Mackensen and used for the defense of Italy in the area of Army Group C. They surrendered on 2 May 1945 in the vicinity of the Alps under General of Panzer Troops Joachim Lemelsen.
