1950 Italian Grand Prix
The Italian Grand Prix 1950 took place on 3 September at the Monza circuit, and was the seventh and final round of the Formula 1 season 1950.
Background
In the two months that lay between the French and the Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari could with his new model that had an engine without supercharging not in the World Cup scoring formula 1 race reach almost the level of the Alfa Romeo. Villoresi but injured himself in such a race and was not yet at its use in Italy in full possession of his powers. Alfa Romeo came with two new Tipo 159 on for Fangio and Farina.
Before the race, yet all three Alfa Romeo drivers had the chance, the first world champion in Formula 1 to become. Since only the four best results of the seven races were included in the ranking, the second placed before the run Fagioli had the worst odds. Training

Race
The best start caught the three standing in row 1 Alfa Romeo, but succeeded Ascari at the end of the first round to second place push forward.
