1999 WNBA draft
The third WNBA Draft took place on 4 May 1999 at the NBA Entertainment Studios in Secaucus, New Jersey, United States instead. The order of selection was determined based on the final table of the previous year.
But before the third WNBA Draft was conducted, an initial expansion Player Allocation took place on 15 September 1998, where the two expansion teams Minnesota Lynx and Orlando Miracle in each case a player was assigned at random. On 6 April 1999 finally found the expansion draft for the Lynx and Miracle instead. On May 3, a post was expansion draft player allocation instead of the two expansion teams, where the teams could choose one player again.

American Basketball League
