2003–04 QSPHL season

The 2003/04 season was the eighth regular season of Ligue de hockey senior majeur du Québec ( LHSMQ ) (until 2003 Ligue de hockey semi- professionnelle de Québec). The 14 teams completed in the regular season of 50 matches. The point of best team in the regular season were the Prolab de Thetford Mines, while the Dragons de Verdun the Futura Coupe won in the play- offs for the first time. Before the season, the league changed its name in accordance with the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec ( LHJMQ ).

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

  • The Aztèques d' Asbestos stopped the game operation.
  • The Vikings de Trois- Rivières were added as an expansion team in the league.
  • The As de Québec were sold and changed their name to Radio X de Québec.
  • The Lacroix de Windsor were Sherbrooke, Quebec, moved and changed their name to Saint -François de Sherbrooke.

Coupe Futura Playoffs

First, the top six teams in each division met in the pre- playoff teams from their division to the other, each team played six games. In Division Est finally Pont- Rouge, St. Georges, Thetford and Rivière -du -Loup could qualify; in the Division St. Jean, St. Hyacinthe, Sherbrooke and Verdun.
