2008 Grand Slam of Darts

The PartyBets.com Grand Slam of Darts 2008 was held from 15 to 23 November at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton and organized by the PDC.

As well as 24 players from the PDC also eight players of the competing Dartverbands BDO had been invited.

It was played in eight groups of four, in each of which the two first place winners for the final round of the top 16 players qualified.

Defending champion was the English world champion Phil Taylor, who won the title again this year by a 18:9 - final win against Terry Jenkins.

Prizes

The total amount of undistributed prize money was £ 356,000.

Qualification

Unlike other tournaments, the qualification criteria directed not by ranking placements, but after wins, final and semi-final appearances at the major tournaments of the PDC and the BDO World Championship in the years before.
