2011 Grand Slam of Darts

The William Hill Grand Slam of Darts 2011 was held from 12 to 20 November at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton and organized by the PDC.

In addition to 26 players from the PDC and 6 Player of the competing Dartverbands BDO had been invited.

It was played in eight groups of four, in each of which the two first place winners for the final round of the top 16 players qualified.

Defending champion was the English BDO player Scott Waites.

Prizes

The total amount of undistributed prize money was £ 400,000.

Qualification

Unlike other tournaments, the qualification criteria directed not by ranking placements, but after wins, final and semi-final appearances at the major tournaments of the PDC and the BDO World Championship in the years before. In addition, two places were played in a wildcard tournament.

The Australian top player Simon Whitlock had to cancel due to injury and was replaced by Ian White, the third place of the wildcard tournament.
