2011 Little League World Series

The Little League World Series 2011 was the 65th staging of the Little League Baseball World Series, an international baseball tournament for boys 11 to 12 years. It was played like every year in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Participant

Compared to the year 2010, four to only two groups were not formed with eight teams. The two groups each play a double - elimination round, the winners of the groups play in the end against each other for the world title.

  • In the game against Great Lakes Mid-Atlantic the attendance record of the LLWS was set up with 41'848.
  • The qualifying tournament for the Middle East - Africa actually won by the team from Uganda. For undisclosed reasons, no visas were issued for the team from Uganda by the U.S. State Department. The team from Saudi Arabia has been order to nevertheless have a participant from this region to the World Series invited.
