Alcantarilla

Alcantarilla is a municipality in the autonomous region of Murcia in Spain. It is 7 km away in the east of Murcia. The Autovia A-7 and the Autovia A- 30 run very close.

On 1 January 2013 lived 40,695 inhabitants in an area of 16.24 km ².

Military airfield

In the district Sangonera la Seca is a small military airport by the Spanish Air Force ( Ejército del Aire ), the Base Aérea de Alcantarilla. In addition to some non-flying units here is the only flying unit equipped with the CASA C -212 Escuadrón 721
