Geography

Yecla lies about 96 km from the city of Murcia and 60 km from the Mediterranean. The city has an area of 607.7 km ² and lies at an altitude of 602 m above sea level. NN.

Population

The city had 18,743 inhabitants in 1900. Until 1 January 2013, the population has risen to 34,393.
