Archena is a municipality in the autonomous region of Murcia in Spain.

It lies in the valley of the Río Segura, 24 km north-west direction away from Murcia.

The Autovia del Mediterraneo (A 7 ) runs north-east 3 km.

On 1 January 2013 lived 18,369 inhabitants in an area of 16.40 km ².

Archena is partner community to the English town of Chesham.
