Molina de Segura

Molina de Segura is a city in southeastern Spain.

Geography and climate

Molina de Segura is situated in the valley of the Río Segura and belongs to the autonomous community of Murcia. The former Kingdom of Murcia (now Región de Murcia) is one of the driest areas in Europe. Summer temperatures often rise above 40 ° C with only 340 mm of rain per year. The lack of water is a constant problem and plays a large role in politics. Flora and fauna are influenced by the Mediterranean climate. The winters are mild.
