Alhama de Murcia

Alhama de Murcia is a municipality in the autonomous region of Murcia in Spain.

It is located 30 km southwest of Murcia. The Autovia A-7 -passes the town on the east side.

On 1 January 2013, lived 21,182 inhabitants in an area of 311.55 km ².

Economy and infrastructure

The economy is dominated as in large parts of the Murcia region by agriculture.

Cercanías Renfe commuter trains connect the Alhama de Murcia with the regional capital Murcia and beyond with other major cities such as Alicante.
