Alonzo Gee

Alonzo Gee (* May 29, 1987 in Riviera Beach, Florida ) is an American professional basketball player. Currently he is active for the NBA team the Cleveland Cavaliers to the position of Small forwards or shooting guards.

Career

From 2005 to 2009 Alonzo Gee played college basketball for the basketball team of the University of Alabama. He then signed up for the 2009 NBA Draft, but was selected by any team. He played one season for the Austin Toros in the D -League, scoring an average of 21.3 points and 6.7 rebounds fetched. On 28 September 2009 he signed a contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but was discharged after ten days without a bet again. His next stop was from 7 March 2010, the Washington Wizards. At his first appearance in the NBA Gee came two days later against the Atlanta Hawks. After his second ten-day contract with the Wizards lapse, he was released on 28 March and committed the next day by the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs sent him on April 8, even without the use back to their farm team Austin Toros.

For the first use for the Spurs came Gee on November 3, 2010., Only 5 brief appearances he was released on November 16, but again. On November 22, he undertook again the Washington Wizards, but his contract was disbanded on December 20 after eleven games. On December 28, he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers. There Gee was the first time in his NBA career significantly more operating time. In the rest of the season he played 40 games for the Cavaliers, including 29 in the starting five. In averaged 24.3 minutes, he brought it to 7.4 points and 3.9 rebounds.

During the lockout before the 2011/12 season he played for Asseco Prokom Gdynia, the Polish team, but returned before the end of the lockout back to the United States. In the 2011/12 season, his use of time for Cleveland increased further. In the first 52 games, he got an average of 29.2 minutes and use it for 10.6 points at 5 rebounds.
