Archbishop of Kraków

The bishopric of Cracow was founded as a mission diocese of Olomouc from. Two bishops are called 990 before, Prohor and Prokulf, Slavic missionaries. Whether they had their seat in Krakow or their missionary journeys took of Olomouc from, is not known.

From 1443 to 1791, the bishops of Cracow were also Dukes of Siewierz, the title of Duke of Siewierz was led until 1951.

With elevation to an archdiocese of Krakow Bishop Adam Stefan Sapieha in 1925 received the title of archbishop.
