Life and career

To 2009: Junior career and first experiences as a professional

Benoît Paire began at the age of five years, to play tennis. His four years older brother Thomas also plays tennis, but less successful.

In 2007, Benoit was able to win on the junior tour a few tournaments in the French room, and reached in June 2007 at the French Open the first knockout round. This was his last junior tournament, from now on he played only in the adult area. Already on his third Futures tournament in July 2007 he won his first title by defeating Eric Prodon, and thus got out of nowhere directly into the top 700 of the tennis world ranking.
