Billboard Touring Awards

The Billboard Touring Awards ( officially: Billboard Touring Conference and Awards) are a conference which the best and most successful tours, festivals, sponsors and venues awarded each year since 2004. The show usually takes place in New York City at the Roosevelt Hotel. The conference usually lasts two days, the participants come from the music and event industry.

Background

Many of the prices are based on data from Billboard, which include concert receipts and other commercial influences. In appearance, the magazine also occurs as a sponsor of the conference / awards. Due to its origin from the commercial data Prizes will be awarded primarily to financially successful artists. The winners in the categories " Legend of Live" and " Humanitarian Award " based on individual assessments of the parties and are not directly related to financial success.

Most categories exist since 2004, while others, such as "Top Comedy Tour ", " Concert Marketing & Promotion " (both 2007) and " Eventful Fans ' Choice " (2008), have been added over the years by Fanvotings.
