Bohušovice nad Ohří

Nad Ohri Bohušovice ( German Bauschowitz an der Eger ) is a city in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south of Litoměřice on the left bank of the Eger and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice on.

History

Occupied the site of the present city already in the 9th century, a Slavic settlement. Documented Bogušovci was first mentioned in 1057. Due to its location on the trade route from Prague via Leitmeritz to Saxony to Bauschowitz developed into a small market town.

After the settlement of the Zwetschkenrummels in which the Prussian army in 1778 an invasion of Bohemia succeeded, Emperor Joseph II in 1780 to build two kilometers north of Bauschowitz in swampy terrain a fortress. It should serve to protect the Bohemian basin and the capital. After his late mother Maria Theresa, the fortress was named Theresienstadt.

The opening of the railway line from Prague to Dresden was for the place of great economic importance. The construction of a railway station Bauschowitz became the tipping point for the products of the agrarian lower Egertals, and operations were started in food production. This development meant that Bohušovice received city rights in 1920 years.

Even today Bohušovice is a center of food production and has a large dairy. In about 6 kilometers from the city to the west and south of the D8 motorway is bypassed and is on the slopes 45 Lovosice - vychod and 35 Doksany accessible.

Hrdly

Hrdly was the seat of the monastery Břevnov associated property rule, which served as the administrative center of the monastery estates in the area. The administration building was rebuilt 1746-1747 by Kilian Ignaz Dietzenhofer pen builder and at the same time built a chapel with a flat porch and a presbytery.
