Buch am Rain ( officially: Book a.Buchrain ) is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding and a member of the administrative community Pastetten.

Geography
Buch am Rain is located approximately 14 km south of the district town of Erding in the Munich region, 28 & nbspkm from Munich Airport, 16 & nbspkm southwest of Villages, 18 & nbspkm north of Ebersberg and 38 & nbspkm from the state capital of Munich. In the future, the controversial route of the A 94 Munich -Passau north of Buch am Rain pass by, which ends currently nbspkm away in 4 & paste tablets.
History

Buch am Rain belonged to Rentamt Landshut and Erding district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. In 2008, the municipality of its 1200th birthday celebrated.
Population Development
On the territory of the municipality were 1970 812, 1987, 1084 and 2000 counted 1,237 residents a year. End of June 2007 the municipality had 1,419 inhabitants already.
Policy
The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 607 thousand in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted 92 T €.
Mayor
Mayor Ferdinand is Geisberger (CSU ). He was the successor of Martin Oster Maier ( CSU / group of voters ) in 2002.

The coat of arms of the municipality of Buch am Rain was set on June 10, 1983 " in black an upper right golden crossing, is a black bull's head, and a growing out of the corner of the crossing silver book branch with three leaves, bewinkelt of two golden beechnuts in silver stems. "
In addition to the coat of arms the community performs a flag with the colors White Black Yellow.

Economy, agriculture and forestry
It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of agriculture and forestry seven, in the manufacturing sector and 16 in the area of trade and transport 25 persons work at the workplace.
