Bugey wine

The appellation Vin du Bugey (since 2004 shortly Bugey ) denotes a red, rosé or white wine the wine region Savoie.

The definition of production area is so nearly identical with the appellation Roussette du Bugey. Varieties

In general, the yields for red wines at 62 hectoliters / hectare for white wine or rosé to 68 hectoliters / hectare are limited. Stricter rules apply to the 4 Crus; here, the limit is 60 hectoliters / hectare respectively 65 hectoliters / hectare.

The most important red grape varieties for red and rosé wines are Gamay, the variety Mondeuse as well as the Pinot Noir, which is called in France Pinot noir.
