History

Burglauer was first mentioned in a document of Emperor Arnulf of Carinthia on 11 March 899. From the late 11th century is a castle in the village of mention, which was renewed in 1225 and was sacked in 1525 peasant uprising. In the following centuries, the castle fell into disrepair, so that today only ramparts and the castle cellars are still preserved. Over time, a variety of gender and had their residences as of Lure, Steinau, Ostheim, of the spleen and of the bend.
