Geographical Location

Trapp city is located in the region Main- Rhön. The site is adjacent to the Free State of Thuringia ( Gompertshausen, Straufhain, Schlechtsart and Gleichamberg in the district Hildburghausen ).

  • Trappstadt

History

Trappstadt was a Kondominatsort. The rights of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg in 1803 fell to the Grand Duchy of Würzburg Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany. The rights of the county of Saxony- Römhild (represented by the duchies of Saxe-Meiningen and Saxe-Gotha ) fell by contract in 1808 to the Grand Duchy.
