Sulzfeld, Rhön-Grabfeld

Sulzfeld is a municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Rhön - grave field and a member of the administrative community bathroom Königshofen in the grave field. Sulzfeld is a nationally recognized resort.

Geographical Location

Sulzfeld is located in the Main- Rhön in the grave field at the foot of the Hassberge.

Sulzfeld is divided into ten districts:

History

The Office of the High Sulzfeld Bishopric of Würzburg from 1500 belonged to the Frankish Empire circle. It was, after secularization in 1803 in Bavaria's favor, leave 1805 Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg and fell with this 1814 final at Bayern.

At least since the 19th century Jewish families in the district Kleinbardorf were resident who formed a Jewish community, a Jewish cemetery on the steep mountain docked ( popularly known as " Jews hill " ) and built their synagogue on the Lower High Street 5. This church was destroyed in the pogrom of November 1938 by SA men. On this story is a memorial plaque at the cemetery entrance.

Incorporations

On 1 July 1971, until then independent municipality Leinach was incorporated. On January 1, 1978, added Kleinbardorf.

Economy and infrastructure

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of Agriculture and Forestry 96, 81 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 16 persons work at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 62 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 620 in the manufacturing sector and in construction there was one operation. The lake Sulzfeld offers visitors a wide range, such as Camping, open-air chess, open-air mill, e-bike rental, sandy beach with water slide, beach volleyball court and much more
