The Canteen Township is one of 22 townships in St. Clair County in the western part of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2010, the Canteen Township had 10,263 inhabitants.
The Township is located in the Metro - East called the eastern part of the metropolitan area of Greater St. Louis the city of St. Louis in neighboring Missouri.
Geography
The Canteen Township is located in the eastern suburban area of St. Louis. The Mississippi River, which forms the border with the state of Missouri is situated about 2 km west of the township.
The Canteen Township is located at 38 ° 38'01 " north latitude and 90 ° 04'42 " west longitude and extending over 28 km ².
