The Lebanon Township is one of 22 townships in St. Clair County in the western part of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2010, the Lebanon Township had 4538 inhabitants.
The Township is located in the Metro - East called the eastern part of the metropolitan area of Greater St. Louis the city of St. Louis in neighboring Missouri.
Geography
The Lebanon Township is located in the eastern suburban area of St. Louis. The Mississippi River, which forms the border with the State of Missouri, located about 40 km to the west.
The Lebanon Township is located at 38 ° 36'34 " north latitude and 89 ° 45'57 " west longitude and extends over 58.9 km ².
The Lebanon Township is located in the extreme north-east of St. Clair County and is bordered to the north and east to the Madison Clinton County. Inside the St. Clair County the Lebanon Township is bordered to the south by the Mascoutah Township, to the southwest by the Shiloh Valley Township and on the west by the O'Fallon Township.
Traffic

Due to the Lebanon Township runs a railway line of CSX Transportation, which runs from St. Louis to the east.
The St. Louis Downtown Airport is some 45 km to the west, the greater Lambert -Saint Louis International Airport is located 75 km west-northwest of Lebanon Township.
