Černěves
Černěves ( German Tschernowes, also Cernowes ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located about four kilometers northeast from Roudnice on the Elbe and belongs to Okres Litoměřice.
Geography
The village is rechtselbisch below Roudnice. East of the village leads the state road 240 between Roudnice and Litoměřice over.
Neighboring towns are Lounky and Chodouny in the north, Vetla in the northeast, Kyskovice in the east, in the southeast Zavadilka, Vědomice in the south, southwest, and Hrobce Židovice in the northwest.
History
Černěves was first documented in 1233 in a confirmation certificate for the canons to Melnik by Wenzel I.. Received in 1617 the monastery Doksany part of the village, the later Polyxena of Lobkowicz together with the rule Brozany bought nad Ohri.
Since 1 January 1992 Černěves, which had hitherto incorporated to Vědomice, again an independent municipality.
