Chiemsee (municipality)

Chiemsee in Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim is the smallest in terms of population as well as in terms of area - after Buckenhof - second smallest town in Bavaria. At 2.57 km2 live about 245 inhabitants. The municipality is a member of the administrative community Breitbrunn am Chiemsee.

Geography

The municipality consists of the three major islands lying in the Chiemsee Herrenchiemsee, Chiemsee Woman ( main town, with the majority of the population ) and the uninhabited island herb. History
