Schechen

Sheikhs is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim. Since the local government reform in 1978 Its membership includes the formerly independent communities Hochstätt, Marienberg and the northern part of the former municipality of Western village of St. Peter ( Oberpfaffenhofen am Inn ).

History

Sheikhs was first mentioned in 1311 as " Schehen " in a sales contract between the Augustinian Canons Rich Mountain and the Benedictine monastery of Ebersberg. Sheikhs belonged to Rentamt Munich. In sheikhs there was an open Hofmark which adopted the gender of the Tannel by marriage in 1419 and held until 1628. The Congregation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Altoetting they had until the secularization in 1803.

With the opening of the railway line Rosenheim - Mühldorf sheikhs was connected on 1 May 1876, the railway network.

The community was created by the sheikhs Gemeindeedikt 1818.

Incorporations

On 1 May 1978, the formerly independent communities Hochstätt and Marienberg and the northern part of the dissolved municipality Western village of St. Peter were incorporated ( with the parish of Oberpfaffenhofen at the Inn).
