History

Was first documented Rohrsdorf 788 in the Notitia Arnonis, a listing of all the goods and possessions of the church of Salzburg Bavarian ducal territory at the inclusion of Bavaria in the Frankish Empire of Charlemagne. This also includes the mentioned today eingemeindeten villages Höhenmoos and Lauterbach, who already Kirchdörfer were at that time also. The former place names were: Rordorf, Huinmos or Lutrinpah.

Archaeological finds indicate, however, a settlement in prehistoric and early Germanic times. In the years 1922 and 1979, artfully forged bronze swords and knives were found in the town hall Geiging, which are dated to about 1200 BC.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1972, the formerly independent municipality Lauterbach was incorporated. On 1 May 1978, the municipality Höhenmoos followed their district and the district Achenmühle is.
