Chinese Taipei men's national basketball team

The Taiwanese national basketball team represents the Republic of China in international basketball games of Lords. Because of the political conflict with the People's Republic of China, the team officially kicks in under the name Chinese Taipei.

History

The Basketball National Taiwan participated at the Olympic Games in 1936 on the very first Olympic basketball tournament. She took it to 15th place. The best results in international tournaments was the fourth place at the World Championship in 1959. It was the second-best performance of an Asian team at the World Championships ever. Also fall into the 50s and two second places at the basketball competition of the Asian Games in 1954 and 1958. The basketball Asian Championships succeeded in Taiwan alongside two silver medals in 1960 and 1963, two bronze medals at the 1973 and 1989 tournaments to win. Because of the conflict with China Taiwan was unable to attend five Asia championships in a row ( 1975-1983 ).
