Chodouny

Chodouny ( German Chodaun ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north of Roudnice and belongs to Okres Litoměřice.

Geography

The village is located about one kilometer from the river rechtselbisch. By Chodouny leads the state road 240 between Roudnice and Litoměřice.

Neighboring towns are Polepy in the north, Záhorecký Mlýn and Vrutice in the northeast, and Vrbice Vetla in the east, in the southeast Kyskovice, Černěves in the south, Hrobce the southwest, Libotenice in the west and Lounky in the northwest.

History

Chodouny was first documented in 1226 in a certificate of ownership certificate for the monastery Doksany by Otakar I Přemysl. Over time, the village was referred to as Chodomy or Chudumy. Chodouny has as a place village on a regular and closed buildings, the center of which is a square village square.

Older is the location on the Elbe district Lounky whose first mention was made in 1088.
