Chris Campoli

Chris Campoli ( born July 9, 1984 in Mississauga, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player of Italian descent who is under contract with the HV71 from the Svenska Hockey ligands since October 2013.

Career

The 1.83 m tall defender started his professional career with the Erie Otters in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League before he was selected by the Islanders in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 as 227th in the seventh round.

The Islanders put the team captain of the Otters first with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, their farm team in the American Hockey League, one in the 2005/06 season he was the first time in an NHL game for New York on the ice. The links Sagittarius managed in the same season to establish himself in the squad of the Islanders, but an injury forced him to the start of the following season, first to the Tigers in the AHL return. After the departure of Alexei Schitnik Campoli was recalled to the squad of the Islanders, his contract in New York was extended by three years in July 2007. There he was set as a regular player before the defender in February 2009 in a transfer business together with Mike Comrie in exchange for Dean McAmmond and a first-round vote in NHL Entry Draft 2009 to the Ottawa Senators have been made. About two years later, Campoli was delivered to the Chicago Blackhawks. In the season 2011/12 Campoli played for the Montreal Canadiens.

As of February 2013 Campoli was in the NLA squad of EHC Biel, where Campoli played an important leadership role due to his many years of NHL experience. After the season he moved within the NLA for HC Lugano, for which he won only eight league games completed and was delivered to the HV71 from the Svenska Hockey ligands in October of the same year.
