Christian Gerhaher

Christian Gerhaher (born 1969 in Straubing, Lower Bavaria ) is a German singer ( baritone) and examinierter doctor. Gerhaher has been a professor for voice and oratory at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.

Biography

During his studies with Paul Kuen and Raimund Grumbach Christian Gerhaher attended the Opera School of the Munich Academy of Music. Together with his regular accompanist Gerold Huber he also studied lieder with Helmut German and rounded off his vocal training in master classes with Dietrich Fischer- Dieskau, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Inge Borkh from.
