Cirse (band)

Cirse is a Alternative-Rock-/Pop-Punk-Band founded in 2003 from Adrogué, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The group currently consists of vocalist Luciana Segovia, guitarist Gabriel Leopardi (Lead ) and Christian Bonelli (rhythm ), bassist Sebastian Leopardi and drummer Martin Magliano.

The group has released two EPs since its inception with bi- polar (2007) and Imaginario (2010 ) has already released two albums, as well as with Algo Quedará (2006) and Apuesta (2012 ). In addition, so far, the group produced seven music videos. The group gives concerts at the national level and has already performed as the opening act for Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Duran Duran and Evanescence. In addition, the group has already played twice at the Pepsi Music Festival.

History

The beginnings

The group was by Luciana Segovia (Singing), as well as the brothers Gabriel Leopardi ( lead guitar ) and Sebastian Leopardi ( electric bass) in Adrogué, a small town 23 km south of the capital Buenos Aires, founded in 2003. Shortly after the formation of the band came Luisao Lernández (drums) to a trio. Then the musicians began his first compositions for a demo release writing. However, production was not possible because the group was completed only in 2004. Together with Cesar Andino of Cabezones the group recorded their first EP, which appeared on its own in 2006. This means Algo Quedará.

Andoni decided with the group after the release of this EP to want to work together again and also offered for the production of a complete album to stand the musicians to side. Cirse accepted his offer. Guest musicians, the group won the jazz rockers Luis Alberto Spinetta, which can be heard in the song Alma de Diamante. The album, which is titled Bi-Polar, was released on 14 December 2007 at the national level about Arte Dark. Directed by Gustavo Stenta the band released their first music video for Too Late piece produced. This was broadcast on MTV and, among other things MuchMusic. Also, the national music television channel dedicated to CM already in the group.

In 2009 Luisao Fernández left the band for reasons persöblichen and Geronimo Pastore was replaced. While still working on the follow-up album of Bi - Polar that the title Imaginario carries the record deal ended with the label, so this was sold in August 2010 on their own. Due to the now ever-increasing success, the album sold very well in spite of this fact. Pastore, joined the group in 2009, died a year later unexpectedly. The group hired on the advice of her former drummer Luisao Diego Lucas, which took place Pastores in the band. End of the year 2010, the Group Motion Sandri presented as a manager of the band.

The new era

In December 2010, the Group has been selected by the listeners of the radio station FM Rock & Pop the winner of the Bombardeo del demo and were allowed to play as the price together with the rock band Machu Catupecu the Teatro Colegiales in Buenos Aires. After a summer tour along the coast of Argentina, the group was invited by Paramore perform as the opening act. The concert took place at Luna Park on February 24, 2011. This concert and once again a great response, so that the second music video was aired on MTV.

In May and July 2011, the group played after they have played previously propagated in the Buenos Aires region, a tour in the southwest of the country, including in Lanús, Quilmes, Santa Fe and in Ramos Mejía. Shortly after the end of the tour the group was allowed to perform as support act for Avril Lavigne on July 24 at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in Mendoza. Two months later, on 24 October 2011, the group won with a vote on the social network Facebook, which was held by the organizers of the Pepsi Music Festival and was allowed to play as a newcomer in the music festival. In November, the release of the music video Juré, which was presented during a performance of the group in La Trastienda Club took place.

In early 2012, the group toured again along the coast of Argentina and played inter alia in Mar del Plata and Villa Gesell. On 4 May 2012, the band opened a concert at Luna Park for Duran Duran. It was followed by the release of the music video Apuesta on July 7. The group had become Christian Bonelli integrated as a second guitarist in the band. Due to musical differences between the band and their drummer Diego Lucas Lucas was replaced by Martin Magliano on drums. On 21 October 2012, the group played again at the Pepsi Music Festival. The group met for the first time in 2012 on the main stage. The group played there together with Cabezones, Carajo and Evanescence. A few weeks later appeared with Apuesta the second EP of the group. On April 21, 2013, the group played in the Resistance tour together with DENY, and Bulldog in Temperley.

Third album: Rompiente

In April and May 2013, the group was incorporated in the studio to record their third studio album. On 7 August 2013, a music video was released for the first single, which is called Miedos. On August 23, 2013 were the album that bears the title Rompiente, officially launched during a release party. The concert took place in Buenos Aires at the Teatro Vorterix. In addition, the concert served as a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the band.

Since the release of the album, the group toured around the country. On 14 December 2013, the group played as the opening act for Incubus and Dave Matthews Band. On December 13, 2013 it was announced that the band for the Cosquin Rock Festival has been posted. There the group will occur on March 1, 2014.

Music style

The group plays a mix of alternative rock and pop punk and is among other things Paramore comparable. The lyrics are all written in Spanish.
