Constant Huret

Constant Huret ( born January 26, 1870 in Ressons -le-Long, † September 18, 1951 in Paris) was a French cyclist.

Prior to his career as a cyclist Constant Huret first learned the profession of a baker, earning him the nickname " Le Boulanger " earned as a racing driver. 1893, at the age of 23, he turned pro.

1899 won the race Huret Bordeaux - Paris in a time which for 34 years could not be undercut. The following year, he became world champion stayer. Four times he won the Paris 24 -hour race Bol d'Or. He also presented several times at world records. 1902 Huret appeared at the Paris Velodrome Parc des Princes, with whom he had a severe lower leg injury ( comminuted fracture ), the active cycling back after an accident.

Henri de Toulouse- Lautrec painted Huret for his picture " La Chaîne Simpson '.
