Daniel Williams (footballer)

Daniel (Danny ) Williams ( born March 8, 1989 in Karlsruhe ) is a German -American soccer player in the service of the English second division Reading FC and the U.S. national team.

Career

In the club

He grew up in the Karlsruhe district Hagsfeld and started three years at the Bambinis of Karlsruher SC. Later he moved to SC Freiburg, with its A-Juniors he the German A- Junior Championship won with a 2-0 victory against VfL Wolfsburg in 2008. National

His only international appearances graduated from Williams for the U-15 national team. The U.S. national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann called Daniel Williams on September 29, 2011 for two international matches against the selection of Honduras and Ecuador for the first time in the squad of the national team of the United States. On October 8, 2011 Williams made ​​his debut against Honduras in Miami for Soccer Boys.

Williams is the son of a U.S. American father and a German. The parents were married at the time when his father was stationed with the U.S. Army in Heidelberg. Williams has a right to both nationalities, had until September 2011 but only a German passport.
