Dmitry Malyshko

Dmitri Vladimirovich Malyschko (Russian: Дмитрий Владимирович Малышко; born March 19, 1987 in Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad Oblast, USSR ) is a Russian biathlete and Olympic champion in biathlon.

Dmitri Malyschko first appeared as part of the Junior European Championships 2005 in international competitions and was in Kontiolahti aft of the Single Page, Tenth of the sprint and 29th in the pursuit race. It was not until 2007 that another race as part of the Junior European Cup in Geilo and Torsby followed, including a second place in a sprint behind Fredrik Lindström. Then it took another two years until Malyschko 2009 during the IBU Cup in Ridnaun debut with the men in the power range and was in his first race, a single, seventh. That same season, he has improved his best result in this series at a single in Nove Mesto na Moravě to fifth place. First major event in the power range were the Biathlon European Championships 2010 in Otepaeae where Malyschko was in the single 25 and Alexei Volkov, Vladimir Vasilyev Viktor Semakow and in the relay race behind the German team won the silver medal. In his first start in the World Cup in Hochfilzen Dmitri Malyschko occupied in the 2011/2012 season tenth in the sprint and immediately reached the Top Ten and won his first points. His first podium place went Malyschko with 3rd place in the pursuit of Kontiolahti in 2012 In the 2012/2013 season was the first time Dmitri Malyschko win a World Cup race. In Oberhof sprint he was successful. The next day he won the pursuit of its own.

At the Olympic Winter Games 2014 Malyschko was together with Alexei Volkov, Yevgeny Ustjugow and Anton Schipulin Olympic champion in relay competition. In the sprint, he was previously the 28th, in the pursuit and the mass start race 33 20
